  • Can Opener
  • Spoon for Stirring

Ingredients

  • 1 lbs Ground Beef
  • 16 oz Black Beans
  • 16 oz Red Kidney Beans
  • 16 oz Diced Tomatoes
  • 4 oz Tomatoe Paste
  • 1 whole Onion (Vidalia)
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 16 oz Water

Instructions

  • Chop your onions and open up your canned goods.
  • Cook at mid-warm and butter up your pot.
  • Add your chopped onions and stir until they have a buttery glow to them.
  • Add your grounded beef to the mix and add spices (e.g. chili powder, grounded pepper). Be sure to FULLY COOK your beef before you continue these instructions.
  • Once your beef has browned, add your beans and 1 can of water to your chili.
  • Cook with occasional stirring for roughly 5-8 minutes to soften the beans.
  • Add diced tomatoes and tomato paste to the pot.
  • Optional: Add another 1 can of water. Remember, the appropriate thickness of a chili is in the eye of the beholder.
  • Cook with occasional stirring for another 5-8 minutes while seasoning to taste (e.g. onion powder, chili powder, ground pepper, salt).
  • Sample your chili and determine how much longer your chili needs.
  • Serve in a bowl and add shredded cheedar jack cheese for the ultimate experience.
